Helmke-Drum-Method

for the determination of contamination residues on cleanroom garments the so called Helmke-Drum-Method is often applied worldwide. Contamination residue is this kind of contamination, which could not be removed completely during  decontamination process within a cleanroom laundry. When using this method the barrel will be loaded with test fabrics. The barrel itself rotates around a fixed sensor whereas the air is sucked out of the barrel continously with the objective to capture as much particles as possible, which will then be analysed by a particle counter. Please refer to the following movie showing these methods in practise.

Suction or Fast Measurement Method

For the determination of contamination residues for cleanroom garments we often apply the so called Suction or Fast Measurement Method within german speaking areas. Contamination residue is this kind of contamination, which could not be removed completely during  decontamination process within a cleanroom laundry. When applying the Suction process pure air will be sucked through the cleanroom fabric, thus allowing to determine the remaining particles in and on the fabrics, which will be than analysed by a particle counter. Please refer to the following movie showing these methods in practise.
